It was great to be invited again to this year’s Tasmanian EFA Organisational Safety Schools Conference! 👏

We were thrilled with the great turnout — so many dedicated EFAs, school leaders and safety officers from across Tasmania North came together for a fantastic day focused on school safety and wellbeing.

Our team proudly showcased a hands-on education demonstration highlighting one of the most important (and often overlooked) aspects of school facility management:

The safe cleaning and removal of mould and bacterial contamination from air conditioning / heat pump systems. ❄️🧼

As Education Facility Attendants, you are the frontline heroes keeping our Tasmanian schools clean, healthy and welcoming every day. But hidden inside many air con units is a silent threat — mould, bacteria and biofilm that can impact staff and student health, increase absenteeism and shorten the life of expensive school assets.

During our lively session we demonstrated:
